Scholarships at Royal Holloway, University of London

Cash award of £3,000 for students from the United States.

One scholarships is available to a new full-time postgraduate student from the US applying for any taught Masters course.

Am I eligible?

• US citizen

• Offer to study for a taught Masters course at Royal Holloway

• Achieved, or on target to achieve, a First Class degree, or equivalent

The deadline is 11:59pm (UK time) on Friday 14 June 2024.

The scholarship is provided automatically to eligible students on one of the Masters courses within the Department of Computer Science.

Eligible Indian nationals who are domiciled in India (living in India at the point of application) will receive a £4,000 tuition fee reduction. All other eligible international students will receive a £2,000 tuition fee reduction.

Am I eligible?

• International fee status

• Achieved a First Class Honours degree in a technical subject or

• Achieved a First Class Masters Degree in a technical subject accompanied by a 2:1 Bachelors degree in any subject

• Studying one of the following degrees with the Department of Computer Science:

  • MSc Applied Data Science

  • MSc Applied Data Science and Cyber Security

Tuition fee reduction of £6,000 for students from selected partner institutions in China and India.

Two scholarships are available for students who join Royal Holloway from one of the universities listed below. 

Am I eligible?

• Currently studying at:

  • Communications University China (CUC)

  • Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) China

  • Minzu University of China Bennett University, India

  • Shoolini University, India

• Due to graduate in 2024 with an offer to study a postgraduate degree at Royal Holloway or

• Studying for a Dual Masters with Royal Holloway, having completed the first part of the degree at CUC or SISU

The deadline is 11.59pm (UK time) on Friday 14 June 2024.

Tuition fee reduction of £3,000 in first year of study for students who are currently studying or have completed an International Foundation Year, International Year 1, or Pre-Masters Programme at Royal Holloway International Study Centre (RHISC).

Ten scholarships are available for students progressing on to a Royal Holloway undergraduate or postgraduate degree. Successful applicants can combine their scholarship with a 10% progression fee discount which is available to all progressing RHISC students.

Am I eligible?

• International fee status

• Currently studying International Foundation Year, International Year 1 or Pre-Masters Programme at RHISC

• Classified as 'Green' or 'Amber' in the RHISC Academic Progression Report

• Achieved at least 85% attendance during their time at RHISC

• Self-funded

• Hold a current offer to study any undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Royal Holloway

The deadline for applications for International Foundation Year and International Year 1 students is 11.59pm (UK time) on Friday 5 April 2024. The deadline for Pre-Masters Programme students is Friday 14 June 2024.

Cash award of £1,000 in first year and £500 in subsequent years for strong academic Physics students.

We offer an unlimited number of Physics scholarships to students studying Physics undergraduate degrees at Royal Holloway.

Am I eligible?

• Firm acceptance to study one of the following degrees:

  • Physics (MSci)

  • Astrophysics (MSci)

  • Theoretical Physics (MSci)

  • Physics with Particle Physics (MSci)

  • Physics (BSc)

  • Astrophysics (BSc)

  • Theoretical Physics (BSc)

  • Physics with Particle Physics (BSc)

  • Physics with Music (BSc)

  • Physics with Philosophy (BSc)

• Achieve at least AAA or equivalent in your A-Levels, including Maths (and/or Further Maths) and Physics

• Attendance at a Royal Holloway Open Day on campus (or an equivalent Online Open Day) for your year of entry
