Terms and Conditions for the 2023/24 academic year

  • To be eligible for consideration for our Scholarship Schemes, you must have accepted an offer and paid an acceptance deposit; firm or conditional for one of our undergraduate or postgraduate taught masters’ programmes for entry to the University of Galway in September 2023.

  • A selection committee will assess the eligible scholarship applications based on Merit, review of the personal statement and score awarded during entrance interview.

  • You must confirm your acceptance of the Scholarship within specified timeline. If we do not receive a response, we will consider that you do not wish to accept the scholarship. You must confirm your acceptance of the scholarship via email and (if available) proof of application for your study visa.

  • Our Scholarships are awarded in the form of a partial tuition fee waiver. A scholarship letter will then be generated and available from your application portal (in the supporting documentation section). The scholarship amount is then deducted from the tuition fee applicable for year 1 of your UG or taught master’s programme. This scholarship is a one-off partial tuition fee waiver, it is not a cash award, and no payment will be made by the University.
