Scholarships at Loughborough University London

As a Loughborough graduate, you’ll receive our alumni bursary of 10% off the tuition fees for your master's programme.

Eligible Programme

All Postgraduate Taught Programmes starting in either October or January on our Loughborough and London campuses.

Includes: all full-time, part-time and distance learning MA, MSc, PGCE, PG Diploma and PG Certificate qualifications.

Amount

10% of tuition fees which will be credited to the student’s tuition fee account.

Criteria and eligibility

Self-funding students who studied at and obtained their degree from Loughborough University, hold a Loughborough University validated degree from Loughborough College, or who studied at Loughborough University for one or two semesters via an Exchange programme, and are not in receipt of any other University award*.

*Only students who start their programme from October onwards (including January starters) and who achieve a first class degree or equivalent (with the exception of those programmes within the Creative Arts, Design, Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences departments or MArch Architecture) can combine the Alumni Bursary with the Excellence Scholarship.

We are delighted to offer a full-fee scholarship to students who previously studied at Loughborough University and were in receipt of an undergraduate Care Leavers’ Bursary.

100% of tuition fees which will be credited to the student’s tuition fee account.

Loughborough University is delighted to offer a CBF (20%) scholarship to support eligible master's students domiciled in Africa. The scholarship has been created as part of the Loughborough University Strategy 2030, ‘Creating Better Futures. Together’, to help African students access postgraduate-level study at Loughborough University.

Scholarship amount

20% scholarship awarded as a tuition fee discount only and is not applicable to accommodation or living costs whilst in Loughborough.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

• Hold an offer to study a full-time master's course with Loughborough University (Loughborough or London campus) for October or January entry intakes.

• Be a self-funded student.

• Be domiciled (permanently living) in Africa.

• Be an international fee status applicant.

Loughborough University - GREAT Scholarships 2025 - Bangladesh, Egypt, Kenya and Turkey

We are working in partnership with the British Council and are offering three scholarships to students from Bangladesh, Egypt, Kenya and Turkey who are looking to apply for one-year master’s programmes.

Supporting postgraduate students with accessing UK higher education, the programme is offering £15,000 to students wanting to enrol on ours and other particular UK universities’ one-year postgraduate programmes.

Key details and eligibility

• The University is offering scholarships to eligible students from Bangladesh, Egypt, Kenya and Turkey.

• Scholarships will be awarded in the form of a partial fee waiver.

• You will need to be holding an unconditional or conditional offer to study at Loughborough University.

• Scholarships are to the value of £15,000 and include all taught master’s programmes offered by Loughborough University.

• Applicants need to have met their English language requirement by the application deadline to be considered for this scholarship.

Closing date: 25th May 2025.

Loughborough University is delighted to present the Loughborough University Sanctuary Scholarships for entry in October 2025.

The scholarship will cover 100% off the course fees for your chosen postgraduate taught course for 1 year (replacing any departmental or other Loughborough University scholarships or bursaries you may already have been awarded) and a stipend to support living costs during your study at Loughborough University (amount to be confirmed).  Students will be expected to fund their travel and visa costs through other sources.  

The University will award one undergraduate, and two postgraduate taught scholarships, and the standards required are very high so please make sure you submit a strong application to be considered for this prestigious award.

The scholarships are being 100% funded by university funds.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

• Currently holding an offer (conditional or unconditional) for an eligible postgraduate taught programme.

• Show evidence of exceptional academic achievement (normally a first-class honours degree).

• Is your home located in a region of conflict/war such that their lives or the lives of their family are in danger, or such that they could be forcibly displaced due to persecution.

• Are you, or your family, at risk of imminent imprisonment, injury, death or persecution?

• If you are currently in the UK but were to return to your home country, your life or safety would be at much greater risk.
