Scholarships at Imperial College London

Value: The scholarship covers fees and a contribution towards living expenses up to a total of £50,000.

Eligibility 

Applicants should fulfil all of the following criteria:

• Be a national of (or permanently domiciled in) Israel

• Be classed as an overseas student for fee purposes

• Hold an offer to study the MSc in Sustainable Energy Futures

• Have a good undergraduate degree (equivalent to a 1st)

• Meet the higher level English language requirement (for IELTS this is 7 or above overall and minimum 6.5 in each element)

Value: £5,000 towards tuition fees.

Eligibility 

Applications are welcome from any student who has submitted an application to start the course in 2025.

The scholarship is available to both Home and Overseas students. The student awarded the scholarship will receive £5,000 towards their total course fees.

The focus of these scholarships is to increase access to postgraduate study at Imperial for people from under represented groups. You can see further guidance on the Office for Students webpages on who may be considered an under represented group in Higher Education.

Value: Up to £10,000.

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants need to be members of the Bright Network. The strength of the application, interview, and professional experience to date will also be considered.

Successful applicants will have an excellent all-round application and demonstrate strong communication skills alongside impact in their chosen area.

Eligibility 

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants will have a strong academic background and potential for future success. They will demonstrate a track record of professional excellence and achievement through internships and/or work experience. 

Applicants will need to exhibit exceptional communication skills throughout the application process, particularly during the scholarship interview. They will effectively articulate how they have navigated financial challenges in their pursuit of education or highlight their experiences as a first-generation student. 

Value: Cash Bursary of £2,000 per year.

Eligibility 

Applicants who meet the College criteria for Widening Participation (WP) are automatically eligible:

• You are a care leaver or have spent time in care under a local authority, or

• Your home address postcode falls into England’s index of multiple deprivation quintile one, or

• You currently receive Free School Meals or have been eligible to receive them in the past; or

• Your home address* postcode falls into POLAR4 quintile 1 or 2 and you also meet one of the following criteria:

  • You are the first in your family to attend university

  • You attend an English school where the key-stage 5 performance is below Imperial's percentile threshold of 20%

  • You attend a school in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland where the Free School Meals percentile is above Imperial's percentile threshold of 80%

Your home address is your place of permanent residence and not your school or boarding school

In addition to those automatically eligible, the department may have capacity to offer to additional students, this will be confirmed after August 2025

Value: This scholarship will be for the sum of £3,000.

Eligibility

Applications are welcome from any student who has submitted an application to start the Genomic Medicine MSc in 2024. The scholarship is available to both Home and Overseas students. The student awarded the scholarship will receive £3,000 towards their total course fees.

Value: Full tuition fees at the Overseas rate and a stipend equivalent to the annual UKRI rate

Eligibility 

The Scholarship is only available to Nigerian nationals who are studying/researching in the field of Chemistry at a Nigerian academic institution at the time of application. Applicants need to have received an offer for a place on a Chemistry Masters course for 2025 entry by the scholarship deadline of 23.59 (UK local time), 23 May 2025.

Value Tuition fee at Overseas rate per year.

Eligibility 

o be eligible, candidates must have attained the conditions below by Friday, 23rd May 2025:

• Have an offer of admissions from the College to study a three-year or four-year full-time undergraduate course in the designated Departments or School listed below starting in autumn 2025;

  • Chemical Engineering

  • Computing

  • Dyson School of Design Engineering

  • Mechanical Engineering

• Possess an Overseas fee status;

• Being Bulgarian nationality;

• Being educated at a state funded high school in Bulgaria;

• The household income of £70,000 or under per year

Value: £20,000.

Eligibility 

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants need to be residents in one of the 21 Latin American countries (as defined by the United Nations). Applicants will demonstrate an outstanding track record of leadership and/or leadership potential (this may include during studies, work experience/internships and/or within the community). 

Value: Up to £15,000

Eligibility 

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants will demonstrate a strong track record of promoting diversity and inclusion. They will also show a desire to drive initiatives to encourage LGBTQ+ participation in business education and to champion equality within Imperial and beyond.

The strength of the application, interview, and professional experience to date will also be considered.

Value: Full tuition fees and a stipend of £17,082 per annum.

Eligibility 

The scholarship is open to all students meeting the following criteria:

• Ordinarily resident in Argentina, Guinea, Madagascar, China, Mongolia or South Africa.

• Have an offer of admission to study a full-time BSc or MSci in the department of Earth Science and Engineering

• Have completed the scholarship application process by 11:59 pm (UK local time) on Friday 30th May 2025

Please note: This scholarship is not available to continuing students.

Value: Cash Bursary of £2,500 per year.

Eligibility

The bursary is open to all students meeting the following criteria:

• Have an offer of admission to study a full-time BSc or MSci in the department of Earth Science and Engineering

• Facing a significant financial barrier to participation in higher education

• Have completed the bursary application process by 11:59 pm (UK local time) on Friday 30th May 2025
